What is AutoBills Payment?

AutoBills Payment is a recurring payment function that allows you to schedule a fixed payment amount for your saved bills on a monthly, quarterly, half yearly or yearly basis.

How do I register for AutoBills Payment?

If you have your bills saved. You can go to Pay Bills tile from the Boost homepage and continue with the steps below:

Step 1: Tap on "Manage AutoBills Payment" tile.

Step 2: Under BoostBills section on the Recurring Payments screen, tap on "Setup Recurring Payment".

Step 3: Select the Biller you have saved that you wish to set up.

Step 4: Toggle on Set AutoBills.

Step 5: Fill in the details required to configure the payment.

When can I register for AutoBills Payment?

You can register for AutoBills payment at any time for your saved billers in the Boost app. Tap on "Manage AutoBills Payment" on the BoostBills dashboard.

What is the frequency of the AutoBills payment?

You can choose for your bills to be automatically paid monthly, quarterly, half yearly or yearly.

What are the payment options allowed for AutoBills payment?

Money from your Boost wallet will be deducted; however, a debit or credit card is required to be saved to add additional funding into your wallet in the event your wallet balance is low. For Investment billers e.g. SSPN-i & SSPN-i Plus, only debit cards are accepted as backup funding into your Boost wallet for the AutoBills payment.

Is there any service charge for AutoBills payment?

No, there is no service charge for AutoBills payment. However, the existing service charge (where applicable) for the billers still applies.

Who can register for AutoBills payment?

Currently, AutoBills payment is open to individual customers only. Moreover, you are allowed to pay bills for others using AutoBills payment feature.

What are the billers can I use AutoBills payment feature for?

Only selected billers (see below) are enabled for AutoBills payment feature. The list below can be updated at Boost's discretion without prior notice.

What should I set as the Start Date?

The Start Date should be the first payment date.

What should I set as the End Date?

Setting an End Date is optional, but you can set the date for when you wish AutoBills payment to end.

What happens if I enter the Start Date & End Date as the last date of the month, i.e., 31st December 2021 and 31st May, respectively for a monthly AutoBills payment?

Payment for your bills will be made on the start date and subsequently on the last day of the following months, i.e., 31st December 2021, followed by 31st January 2022, 28th February 2022, 31st March 2022, 30th April 2022, and 31st May 2022.

What happens if I enter 28th February as the Start Date for a monthly AutoBills payment?

Payment for your bills will be made on the start date and subsequently on the same date of the following months, i.e., 28th February 2021, followed by 28th March 2021, 28th April 2021, 28th May 2021...

Why is my AutoBills payment transaction not reflected in my biller account, but my wallet has been deducted?

Some billers are not updated real-time as it is posted by batch end of the day. Due to this, it will not be reflected in your biller account immediately. However, you can recheck your account after one business day.

Why is my AutoBills payment unsuccessful?

The most common reason for AutoBills payment to be unsuccessful is due to insufficient funds in your Boost wallet or issues with your backup payment option. Please ensure your backup payment options are active and have sufficient funds during the AutoBills payment setup.

How can I check the status of my AutoBills payment?

You may keep track of your AutoBills payments by monitoring your in-app notifications page on the home screen.

What happens if my AutoBills payment is unsuccessful?

The system will attempt to perform the payment for a maximum of three days. If it is still unsuccessful, your AutoBills payment for the affected billing cycle will not be processed, but the AutoBills payment will continue for the following billing cycle. Therefore, you may need to manually make payment to the biller for the current billing cycle.

For example, on a quarterly recurrence, if the 3 attempts fail for this quarter, we will inform you and will continue the payment in the following quarter.

Can I amend my AutoBills payment amount and dates?

Yes, you can make amendments to the registered AutoBills payment details at any time via the Recurring Payment page.

Can I deactivate my AutoBills payment?

Yes, you may deactivate any registered AutoBills payment biller at the Recurring Payment page.

How do I deactivate my AutoBills payment?

You can tap on the specific bill in the Recurring Payment page, select "Edit Details" for account, and tap on the Set AutoBills green toggle to switch off. You will be prompted with the confirmation message to deactivate the AutoBills feature.

Can I remove the AutoBills feature for my bill?

Yes, you may remove any registered AutoBills payment at the Recurring Payment page.

How do I remove the AutoBills feature for my bill?

You can tap on the specific bill at the Recurring Payment page, select "Remove Account". You will be prompted with a confirmation message to remove the AutoBills feature for the bill.

How does recurring payment work for insurance?

Starting 10th May 2021, Boost has launched recurring payments for insurance that will enable users to continue their insurance policies automatically at the end of their policy coverage. Eligible products that are on recurring payments will no longer be available as a single purchase anymore.

Do I have to link a card for insurance?

Yes, you will need to link a standby debit or credit card with your Boost account when purchasing an insurance plan.

For continuous protection when your Boost Wallet balance is low, the linked card will be used to auto add money to make up for the balance of the premium due. Fret not, auto add money will only occur if there is insufficient balance.

For example, your premium due is RM 5 and you only have RM 3 in your Boost Wallet Balance at renewal. The RM 2 balance will be auto added from the card you have linked earlier into your Boost Wallet.

When will the recurring payment happen?

Boost will attempt to renew your policy by deducting for the premium once a day in the last 3 days prior the due date. If the policy renewal fails after the 3rd attempt, the recurring payment will be switched OFF.

For example, if the last day of your policy coverage is on 31st March 2021, attempts will be made on;

* 29th March 2021- 1st attempt
* 30th March 2021 - 2nd attempt
* 31st March 2021 - 3rd attempt

How can I change my linked card?

You can change the card linked to your insurance plan by following these steps:
  1. Tap on 'Insurance' tile at the homepage
  2. Select the insurance plan under 'My Active Coverage'
  3. Scroll down and tap on the edit button under 'Recurring Payment' section
  4. Tap on the field that says 'If balance is low, auto add money with'
  5. Select or add another card from the 'Auto Add Money' drawer that pops up

Can I manually renew my insurance plan?

Yes, you can manually renew your policy in the last 3 days of your plan coverage. To do this, simply follow these steps:
  1. Tap on 'Insurance' tile at the homepage
  2. Select the insurance plan under 'My Active Coverage'
  3. At the bottom of the screen, tap on 'Continue Coverage'
  4. Complete the form and proceed with the payment
  5. Upon successful payment, the insurance plan will be renewed

What happens if I did not renew my policy in time?

Your policy will expire if you do not renew it on time and will be moved to the 'History' tab under 'My Active Coverage'. You will need to purchase a new policy after the previous policy purchased expires if you wish to stay protected.

Some policies will provide you with a 30-day Grace Period from the last day of your policy coverage. If you renew your policy within that 30-day Grace Period, you will still be covered!

You may check whether your policy has a Grace Period by following the steps here:
  1. Tap on 'Insurance' tile at the homepage
  2. Select the insurance plan under 'My Active Coverage'
  3. Plans eligible for the 30-day Grace Period will have a yellow label that says 'GRACE PERIOD' (label will appear only if you view it within the 30-day period)

Can I stop my insurance plan?

You may deactivate or switch OFF the Recurring Payment of your insurance plan by following the steps here:
  1. Tap on 'Insurance' tile at the homepage
  2. Select the insurance plan under 'My Active Coverage'
  3. Scroll down and tap on the edit button under 'Recurring Payment' section
  4. Tap on the green toggle to switch Recurring Payment OFF
Have a change of mind? Switch it ON again anytime BEFORE the day your policy coverage expires.
